Fellow of the Engineers Canada (FEC), In 2020, the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) celebrated its 100th anniversary, and Prof.
Mohamed Cheriet was prominently featured in the February issue of the OIQ’s magazine Plan as a distinguished contributor to education and engineering in Québec. Furthermore, since 2017,
Engineers Canada has conferred the title of Fellow to individuals who have made exceptional and lasting contributions to the engineering profession. On November 25th, 2020, Prof.
Cheriet was among the four engineers from Quebec to receive this prestigious distinction.

IEEE Canada J.M. Ham Outstanding Engineering Educator Award
The Award is presented to outstanding Canadian engineers recognized for sharing their technical and professional abilities through teaching (in industry, government or an institution of higher learning) and in doing so have made an outstanding contribution to engineering education.
The award will be presented at the IEEE Canada Awards Ceremony on May 17, 2016, in Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Hotel, Vancouver, BC.
