Case-based reasoning (CBR) is a method for solving
problems in a specified field. It is an incremental process that does
not require large amounts of processing power. In CBR, context is
integrated into the process to improve performance during its various
stages. Here, we propose an application of CBR in the field of
pervasive computing, specifically on mobile devices. The inertial
sensors and GPS capabilities of mobile devices permit the determination
of a user’s location and activity to offer a range of services, which
can be filtered based on contextual information and customized to
provide user-adapted services.
