Formally educated in piano and orchestration I compose music for over 20 years, first in jazz, then in contemporary symphonic and movie scores genre.
In addition to my formal musical education and years of composition practice in classical music I gathered considerable experience in movie scoring for the contemporary film industry. In my work I cooperated with several young North American and British directors scoring their short and mid-length productions. Independently I write cinematic scores of variable lengths and genres which are available through my publishers: AudioMicro, Born To Be Stars, HUMTOO, Ripple Audio, Songs To Your Eyes and Quest Worldwide Production Music.
On this site you will find a representative set of my works from different categories, including my pet project “Requiem Goes Jazz”. It took years of research and patience to get W.A.Mozart’s “Requiem” original 12-part partition scanned into my studio’s system and even more to make it “go jazz”. So yes, “Requiem” is Mozart’s but everything else (“Goes Jazz”) is mine. I bet you never heard such an interpretation of this phenomenal masterpiece.
When and if I have a choice my preferred composition styles are:
- pure orchestral scores (symphonic orchestras of various sizes in styles),
- orchestral scores with electronic sound mix,
- jazz scores.
All scores are produced in my studio, one of the most advanced, privately owned studio in Canada.
Every score goes through a very thorough process of sound engineering and audio mastering and can be developed in any required file or spatial format (like for example *.wav, *.aiff etc. or stereo, 5.1 etc.).
If required the score is accompanied by a full documentation (complete partition).
