Recognized for his exceptional contribution to our institution
Dean of Studies of the École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS) from 2013 to 2019, co-editor of a recognized work in software engineering and ardent promoter of the continuous improvement of engineering programs, Pierre Bourque was inducted on September 27, into the "Cercle d'excellence" of the "University du Québec."

The leaders of the institutions of the Université du Québec network annually highlight the exceptional contribution of one of their members, whether professor, researcher, manager or employee. Every year, 10 members of the network are named to the "Cercle d'excellence" of the "University of Quebec."

This award is :
"presented to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding contributions to software engineering education and training, as well as to the related area of software engineering professionalism. Contributions may include, but are not limited to: service to the community, papers, reports, books, tools, techniques and media for software engineering education, and outstanding practice of teaching that has been witnessed by the community at large. Contributions should have had an influence over an extended period of time at the international level. [...]
The award is named in honor of Nancy Mead, the founding Steering Committee Chair of the Conference on Software Engineering Education and Training."
