Why this code
This code is far from perfect and is provided
under the
Gnu General Public License
(GPL)
as yet another example of
plugins.
Its main features are:
- Reads data from a file based on the current frame number.
- Generates geometry (quadrilateral mesh with normals)
inside Maya based on the read information.
Its main drawbacks (which I assume could be easily fixed by an experienced
plugin programmer) are:
- Cannot write or save the data in the scene file (it must read the
information again from the file when you reload the plugin).
- Is not capable of using multi-processing (uses data not passed through
the compute method data block).
